Earning for Learning

Official Rules & Regulations

This year’s program begins on August 27, 2012 and ends on October 5, 2012.  Customers must present receipts to the Mall Management Office from any store or restaurant at Morgantown Mall.  Qualifying receipts MUST BE FROM a retailer at Morgantown Mall on purchases made during the program period and for the current week ONLY.  Receipts for purchases made on a Sunday must be turned in to the Mall Office by noon the following Monday. Receipts for the final week must be turned in by October 5, 2012 at 5pm.

Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle, or high school in Monongalia, Marion or Preston counties is eligible to participate.  Pre-Schools, colleges and other post – high school institutions are not eligible.

Morgantown Mall VISA gift cards will count as triple points when purchased during the promotion.

Receipts may only be used one time and will be marked when presented to the Mall Management Office. The receipt must be the original.  Duplicate receipts, photo copies, faxes and internet orders will not be accepted.  Purchases of bus passes, faxes and photo copies cannot be redeemed for points.  Credit Card payments, even if made to a store at the mall, will not be accepted for points.

Store employees may not request, or copy, receipts from store customers in order to redeem them for points.  Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to schools to redeem for points.  Solicitation of stores by schools to hold receipts for such schools is prohibited.

Each dollar spent equals 1 point.   Any less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points).

The highest points each week, based on student ratio, will determine the winning schools.  The total number of points for each school each week is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school, except that all schools regardless of size will start with a minimum student enrollment of 100.  Enrollment numbers will be provided by the schools.

Each week the top school will be awarded a cash prize. Points will then start over the following week.  Winning schools will be notified weekly; however, prize money will be compiled at the end of the program and presented to the winning schools in a lump sum.

Weekly Prizes:

      Week 1 = $250 August 27 - September 2

      Week 2 = $500 September 3 - September 9

      Week 3 = $750 September 10 - September 16

      Week 4 = $1,000 September 17 - September 23

      Week 5 = $1,250 September 24 - September 30

      Week 6 = $1,500 October 1 - October 5

Morgantown Mall Management Office will make the final decision regarding any dispute.

Morgantown Mall reserves the right to refuse suspicious or fraudulent receipts, or any receipt transactions breaking the above rules.
